SharePoint / MOSS Contract Developer (walnut creek) [CA]

We’re a small Web firm looking for a talented and responsible SharePoint contractor (must be local to the bay area). We’re Interested in an on-going resource we can utilize as projects come our way. Must have at least 2 years of SharePoint (2007) development experience. You must be motivated, dedicated and willing to put in the hours to get projects done on a deadline. Excellent communication skills are a must for meetings with clients and detailed documentation of projects. Must have experience writing detailed technical specifications for the approval process and implementation.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and looks to build projects based on best practices. The successful applicant will have had experience with branding SharePoint websites including application (layout) pages, SharePoint authentication/authorization, custom content types, web parts, forms, and data views.

Requirements:
Experience branding SharePoint/MOSS 2007, including creating custom Master Pages and customizing an application master page
Experience creating custom Content Types and Page Layouts
Experience with SharePoint Forms
Experience writing high-level and detailed technical specifications
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Custom Web Part or SharePoint “Feature” Development experience a big plus
Custom Work-flow development experience a plus

Responsibilities:
Set up/administer development SharePoint Site Collection
Architecting custom Master Pages to achieve branding goals
Creating custom Content Types and Page Layouts
Thorough documenting of development projects
Thorough testing and debugging of all code produced
