PLEASE NOTE: THIS POSITION IS HOME-BASED AND IS COVERS THE EASTERN US TERRITORY.
Job Objective:
Responsible for revenue of 75-100 MM USD combined directly in the region and indirectly globally. The product portfolio consists of more then 10 products sold to 25-30 large size international customers.
Essential Functions:
* Develop profitable and sustainable sales growth at assigned Key Accounts.
* Manage large complex accounts, regionally and globally, internally and
externally.
* Develop global key account plans for assigned accounts; implement account strategy.
* Determine customers’ (unmet) needs and translate internally for adequate follow up.
* Establish and strengthen customer relationships with decision makers
across functions and regions.
* Lead key account teams within global account responsibility.
* Negotiate prices and other commercial terms, including significant global
multiyear agreements.
* Lead and/or participate in 6 Sigma for Growth projects.
* Deliver regular (monthly) updates of changes to forecast volumes of
customers assigned.
Education / Qualifications:
- University Degree (Preferably Chemistry or Business-related)
- Minimum of 5 years sales (or market development) experience in chemical industry.
- Successful experience in large account management.
- In depth knowledge of chemical business: preferably coating, adhesive or construction industry.
- Has a natural drive to understand the customer’s and customer customers’ market.
- Able to conduct or facilitate Voice of the Customer interviews.
- High level sales skills, especially value selling.
- Able to grasp bigger picture in relation to market and price
developments, and able to explain and sell these developments to customers
- Strong personality, able to drive tough negotiations with customers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with cultural and
regional differences.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
- Excellent presentation skills.
