Programmer Consultant

This is a consultant position requiring 10-20 Hrs/mo providing your experience in both on-going support issues and new product development in a small company environment. Work with web developers to design and optimize SQL/ XML/VB/ASP and Web Services. Support others to resolve database performance issues, data exporting /importing, replication, bugs, and other distributed data issues. Identify process improvement opportunities while supporting SQL databases and legacy technologies.

Must have strong SQL/.Net/VB/ASP/XML development skills. Expertise in writing and optimizing complex stored procedures, queries, and functions. Minimum of 7 years total experience required in a professional database design/administration environment. Knowledge of client/server Internet technologies with a strong understanding of Microsoft technologies required.

As a consultant the hours are flexible. It’s estimated that we’ll require approx. 5-10% of the hours on-site the remainder could be performed remotely – which means you really have to be a local candidate.
