Part-time medical writer (Work from home)

Looking for writer with medical and marketing background to write descriptions (very similar to the product descriptions of books on Amazon) of marketing/ promotional brochures that pharmaceutical companies use to promote their drug to doctors and patients.

A clinical or healthcare background and an understanding of marketing is required. Must be able to identify ‘key messages’ of a brochure and craft a concise, business-style summary. This is not a creative writing position but more of a formulaic process as the descriptions all need to follow the same format for describing the piece and it’s key content and messages like they would for any online catalog.

This is ongoing, project work, approximately 5-7 hours (about 50 pieces) per week (1099, not staff). More work is available for those who want to work more hours.

$15- $20 per hour, depending on experience and speed. Training (on-line) is provided but training time is not paid. Be prepared to submit a test summary that will be provided to you.
