Nurse Reviewer – [Company] – Syracuse, NY

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:
The Nurse Reviewer will provide recommendations to the insurance carrier in regards to care provided to patients and determine the frequency, duration, and medical necessity of the care provided.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Review bills including HFCA and UB92 bills on injured parties, involved in automobile accident cases
- Perform utilization review per technical guidelines established by Concentra
- Determine if the bill requires physician review
- Determinie is CPT codes reviewed are supported by documentation provided
- Other duties as assigned
- Will be required to cross train into other areas.
- Will be required to pass ABQAURP  Test
Required Experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Registered Nurse with active state licensure
- 3 years previous case management/ UR experience
- Must be able to work in home environment.
- High speed cable access
