Location: Work from home (financial district) [SF, CA]

Our company, [Company] grew at 27% last year selling to an industry that contracted 22% last year (traditional Media). Our growth was largely due to great customer service, very happy customers and resultant positive word of mouth and constant reinvestment into new products serving same customers (TV stations, Radio stations, Cable nets etc.)

[Company] spends $1MM+ per year on marketing related activities to help drive sales. Vast majority of the marketing expense is conference or convention related. Sadly, It is very unclear whether these marketing activities drove much revenue.

We have a host of new products to talk about this year and we need to engage a new ‘adjacent to our core’ client base with a new product that should make their lives a LOT easier.

We have an excellent, super talented graphics person in house. We have excellent execution on convention related marketing (booths look great etc.)

BUT

While our advertising and brochures are professional, graphically interesting and full of a lot of information, they are boor-ring. They just are not compelling. I think most of this has to do with copy that is not entertaining or interesting or clever enough.

Our business is solving the crappy large and small operational problems that software is uniquely able to solve. It isn’t super sexy and can easily be defined as boring… but without great systems, our prospective clients are operating with concrete hip-waders.

Need to be funny, entertaining, self-motivated and an excellent writer.
