[Company] client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong Price & Margin Management Software experience (preferably Vendavo, but will consider comparable applications e.g. SAP, PROS, etc.). This is a 5 mos contract engagement in North Austin, TX. Remote work or telecommuting allowed.
BA responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Modeling, Planning, and providing visibility into impact of different price position scenarios (on Rev, Unit, Margin)
o Determining Margin impact of layered promos / duties / hedges
o Determining Demand Impact of competitive position
o Determining the Mix and cross border impact within the portfolio
o Creating Generation / saving / workflow / consolidation of what-if scenarios
o Assisting in goal-seeking break-even analysis
o Assisting in the Institution of policies & thresholds (price & margin?) to manage these impacts
o Alerting of situations of impact
o Cost fluctuations
o Competitor moves
o Iterative planning workflow among decentralized pricing org
o Passing of scenarios back & forth among stakeholders (Global Regional Local) until final price position is settled
o Passing scenarios to merchandising->Pricing-> merchandising
o Ability to bulk-load non-IT-managed data from Excel and manage within the tool
o Gathering information to determine the flexibility for pricing / modeling / scenario planning at both the config and sku levels, with both rollup and push down between config & sku
o Assisting in the publication of price position to consuming systems (Which systems and for which purposes?)
Experience Required:
o 5+ years experience as a Senior Business Analyst
o Strong experience building software requirements documents
o Strong and recent experience with Price & Margin Management Software implementations and configurations (preferably Vendavo, but will consider SAP, PROS, etc.)
o Experience working with on and offshore development teams
o Ability to clearly articulate business requirements into technical requirements
