Assistant for International Economic Development (Washington, DC)
Successful International Executive launching a new company seeks a part-time Research and Project Assistant. Part-time initially, the position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, strong organizational and administrative skills, and a passion for international affairs. The candidate, preferably an undergraduate or graduate student, should enjoy entrepreneurial environments and possess the ability to work with limited supervision on the following activities:
• Research and writing on international economics, business, and development
• Support preparation of proposals to the World Bank and USAID including writing, organization, and production
• Provide administrative and “backstopping” support for project activities and tracking of project opportunities
• Recruit international experts and faculty for consulting and training opportunities in Latin America, Africa, and Asia
The candidate will ideally have some international experience, preferably some prior business or research experience, and a passion for international development and business. Excellent computer skills required and foreign language skills helpful. Willing to work flexible hours and ability to work from home a plus. $20 per hour for 20 hours a week minimum.
