Android Developer for 1 to 2 month project (palo alto) [CA]

We are looking for a contract developer for a short term (1 ~ 2 month) project. The project will consist of enhancing an existing Android application that will access various components of the Android OS and interact with our back-end server. Candidate should be familiar with the various components of the Android Application Framework including: interacting with the User Interface, submitting asynchronous network requests and processing the results accordingly. Additional project details will be discussed with interested candidates.

Required Skills:

* Strong Android SDK and Java development experience
* Strong OOP experience and understanding mobile development best practices
* Passion for building great UI experiences
* Experience developing and testing on multiple Android device configurations
* Versed in SDK 1.6 through 2.2; understand the differences and nuances of the different SDK versions.
* Working knowledge of source control systems (SVN, GIT…etc)
